Cerjo Eye-Wear Brand Popping Up All Over

As you slather on sunscreen to protect your skin this summer, don't forget sunglasses to protect your eyes. The same harmful rays that damage skin can also increase your risk of developing eye problems, such as cataracts--a clouding of the eye's lens that develops over years.
In the short-term, people who spend long hours on the beach or in the snow without adequate eye protection can develop photokeratitis, reversible sunburn of the cornea. This painful condition can result in temporary loss of vision. When sunlight reflects off of snow, sand and water, it further increases exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. These invisible high-energy rays lie just beyond the violet end of the visible light spectrum.

Everyone is at risk for eye damage from the sun year-round, especially in a place like Arizona. The risk is greatest from about 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fishermen, farmers, pool-goers, and others who spend time in the sun for extended periods are at highest risk.

UV radiation in sunlight is commonly divided into UVA and UVB, and your sunglasses should block both forms. Don't assume that you get more UV protection with pricier sunglasses or glasses with a darker tint. Look for a label that specifically states that the glasses offer 99 percent to 100 percent UV protection. You could also ask an eye-care professional to test your sunglasses if you're not sure of their level of UV protection.

Sunglasses should be dark enough to reduce glare, but not dark enough to distort colors and affect the recognition of traffic signals. Tint is mainly a matter of personal preference. For best color perception, Prevent Blindness America, a volunteer eye health and safety organization dedicated to fighting blindness and saving sight, recommends lenses that are neutral gray, amber, brown or green. People who wear contact lenses that offer UV protection should still wear sunglasses.

Children also should wear sunglasses. They shouldn't be toy sunglasses, but real sunglasses that indicate the UV-protection level just as with adults. Polycarbonate lenses are generally recommended for children because they are the most shatter-resistant.

A new brand hitting the valley and offering wonderful eye protection, along with classic and trendy stylistic designs is Cerjo. This trending eye-wear brand offers eye-wear brand offers wonderfully delicate shades or protection, while still being trusted enough to produce sunglass

High Heels, and thanks to the new summer designs, you can put the HIGH back in High Heels. This summer extreme heels are in, so get ready to look glamourous.

These heels combine sex appeal with elegance, while adding some incredible height at 6 1/2 inches these peep toe boots are made to stand out. The boot is also reminiscent of the classic Victorian-era shoe, but Christian Louboutin has put his modern and beautiful spin on this pair of heels. If  you are in need of a graceful lace up boot, you can find these for $1,495.00 a Saks.

These Valentino Peep-Toe Lace d'Orsay Pumps are the perfect mix of delicate lace shapes accentuated with a beautiful bow-top. This set of pumps add an addition of flirtiness from the peep toe and sex appeal from the curvy d'Orsay cutout - displaying the arch of the foot at its best. Subtle, yet uninhibited. Scottsdale Summer Accessory Trends For The Girls

This summer we are going to see a large dose of 60's style headbands taking to the pavement on Scottsdale Road. Headbands are really going to be a big thing this summer. The most popular Arizona style will likely be the thin white band, its classy, elegant and simple. However there will be plenty of other options bringing back the wide 60's styles and bright colors choices as well.

Not to be left out, handbags in all shapes and sizes will have a 60's inspiration this summer.  Rich and "natural" leather colors and textures will start to replace the bright eye popping styles we are currently seeing. Look for lots of detailed embellishments like the studs on this Bottega Veneta Perforated Leather Bag. This "natural" color trend will carry throughout all handbag styles, from clutches to over-sized. Look for deep browns, as show to start the trend and for the look to carry all the way over to lighter shades with tassel embellishments.

Scottsdale Arizona Swim Suit Trends 2010

The 1st Arizona trend for swimwear in 2010 is a color explosion. The Swim Show runways were filled with color and more color this year. From saturated jewel tones to bright eye popping reds and even the neons reminiscent of the 1980s are back for yet another swim season.

The 2nd big Maricopa Swimwear trend for 2010 is all-over graphic prints. We've seen popular graphic prints in clothing for a couple of years, in fact the over-sized all over-print tee has just about run its course, but in the 2010 swim season graphic prints are really going to become become huge for swimwear.

The 3rd Phoenix Valley Swimwear trend for 2010 is one-shoulder styling. This is a nice innovative idea in swimwear. One-shoulder styling has been a popular trend for tops for many years now, and now swimwear trends reflect this asymmetrical design too. You will be seeing a lot of varieties of the one shoulder styling on anything from a one-piece, to a bikini and of course on the cover-ups.

And last but certainly not least one of our favorite looks for Scottsdale  for 2010 is string embellishment. We've all seen the girls flaunting in their string bikinis, but the 2010 swimwear string embellishment trend is totally different. Designers are using strings as part of the style, to add to the sexiness of the couture itself. These embellishments are just for decoration and not as part of the garment's structure.

5/31/09 Scottsdale, AZ Swimsuit Fashion

Yes it is already that time here in the Valley, pool-party time. The pool-party presented by 944 Magazine and called Poolside Sundays at the Mondrian, gave us the perfect chance to check this years suit trends.

Three styles stood out beyond the rest. The first look isn't for your parents pool party. This is a suit obviously inspired by lingerie. The frills, combined with the pink on black are sure to turn heads, if you are bold enough to bare this look to your next poolside event. If you are looking to go a little wild, maybe cut loose more than normal, this might be the suit for you.

Look number two is the perfect combination of sexiness and class. A look that can be worn to almost any pool event, boasts a barely there skirt with an inverse matching top. This was our favorite look, because of its versatility and combination of bombshell and quasi-coyness.

The third stand out suit was an in your face explosion of color.

The Weight Loss Sunglasses

I recently came across a site that advertised sunglasses with blue tinted lenses, that aid in weight loss.. is this color psychology accurate or just an optical illusion?

Traditional eyewear has been designed to filter out blue light and tint instead of accentuating it. the blue lenses make it harder for the eyes to focus and force strain; this, aiding in self-control. Furthermore, blue is the "least appetizing color of the spectrum." Blue shades have been said to increase the levels of serotonin in the brain, a neurotransmitter that is directly linked to mood enhancement.

These bold, blue, beauties have been hpotted on hot Hollywood faces like Johnny Depp, seen in Japan rocking these cobalt frames wile promoting the third installment in the Pirates series. There are mixed emotions and opinions about the "Weight Loss Sunglasses".

What do you think.. Are Blue shades an Arizona trend to trash or follow?
