The Associated Student of the University of Arizona, put on the first ever first annual Diamonds In The Sky fashion show benefiting Diamond Children’s Medical Center. The fashion show featured designers Devani Weaver, 2008 Scottsdale Fashion Week “Designer of The Year”,
Rebecca Turley, 2010 Scottsdale Fashion Week “Designer of The Year” Runner up,
Yu Yu Shiratori and Phillip Manus. Each designer showed their innovative, imaginative and indescribable designs amongst the fashionistas and fashionistos of the University of Arizona. There were looks on the runway from regal to romper.
The event was a success drawing several hundred people, and raising a nice sum of money to donate to a worthy cause. The Associated Student's of the University of Arizona did a wonderful job putting on this show, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. For a very low price of $20 you were able to attend the show as well as snack on foods provided by:
- Chipotle burritos
- Jimmy John's sandwiches
- Paradise Bakery cookies
We are definitely looking forward to what next years designers will have to show us at the 2011 Diamonds in The Sky Fashion Show.
